If you ask me…

Who has had the biggest influence on you?
My HIV doctor. She has always supported me and e-mails and calls if
she hasn’t heard from me. She encourages me and tells me I am not
alone.

Which health or social care professional has been most use
to you?

My psychologist at HIV mental health initiative Cascaid. Without
him I think I would be lost. He is caring and tries his best to get
things done on my behalf when dealing with social services.

If you ran care services in your area what would you do
differently?

Have a place for HIV positive single mothers to go to and make sure
they get the support and assistance they need without any
discrimination.

Name one thing that would make your life better?

Getting a response within days instead of weeks when I complain to
social services.

What three words best describe you?
Caring, vulnerable, survivor.

What event most changed your life?
Finding out I was pregnant and not having my partner around me, I
realised I had to be strong for my baby and started treatment to
protect her from infection.

Has any government policy ever benefited you
personally?
No.

What makes you happy?
Feeling my baby kick.

Who would you like to swap places with?
Madonna.

Who do you most admire?
My mother.

How would you like to be remembered?
Someone who cared about other people’s problems.
