Pigs land farmer in the manure

A Norfolk farmer has been given an antisocial behaviour order
because his pigs kept breaking free.

Cromer Magistrates’ Court heard last week how Brian Hagan’s pigs
had caused damage to nearby property.

North Norfolk Council and Norfolk police had received numerous
complaints about them.

Up to 30 of his 100 animals at a time were involved. The Asbo
states that Hagan, whose farm is in Briston, Norfolk, must not
allow his pigs to escape from his property.

Hagan said that he had erected a five-foot fence to keep the
pigs in their field.
