If you ran care services in your area what would you do
differently?
I would give a voice to the voiceless!

What event most changed your life?
A demonstration in defence of freedom of expression in
Iran which was attacked and crushed by Hezbollah in the early days
of the Islamic regime.

If you could ban one thing what would it be?
In the UK: I would ban talking and writing negatively
about refugees without giving them a right of reply. In the world:
capital punishment, stoning to death and governmental brutality.

What has been your most emotional moment?
When I was in prison and my mum was crying and asking me
to conform to the authority to be released, and my father was
saying to her to leave me alone. It was our 10 minutes’ visiting
time behind a glass and we talked through a phone.

What makes you happy?
A happy world, different from today’s.

When were you last angry?
Today, reading about homeless people who died on the
Tehran streets overnight.

How would you like to be remembered?
A woman who tried to change the world.

What is the most important lesson you have learned?
One human being is as every other human being and all
should enjoy the same rights.
