This second edition of this excellent book, first published in
1999, is well laid out, easy to read and tells it how it is.

The best parts are in section two, which addresses areas often
neglected but crucial to managing and averting violence. My only,
minor, criticism concerns the lack of references.

I would recommend this book to those working with adolescents,
and as a general reference book to those who are not.
