MODERN SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE: TEACHING AND LEARNING IN
PRACTICE SETTINGS

STAR RATING: 5/5

This is an excellent book that will prove to be an invaluable
resource for all involved in practice teaching and learning. It is
clearly written in an engaging style that succeeds in blending
theory and practice in a way that does justice to both elements –
and that is certainly no mean feat, writes Neil
Thompson
.

The book provides several activities that can be used to promote
practice learning. These are well-designed and should provide a
strong foundation for enhancing students’ experience of practice
learning.

I particularly liked the way the authors incorporate current
thinking while retaining many of the well-established ideas about
practice learning that have stood us in good stead over the
years.

The book will be of most benefit to those involved in promoting
practice learning. But students engaged in practice learning
opportunities will also find much here that will help them in their
studies and their professional development.
