www.addiss.co.uk
STAR RATING: 3/5
Run by: The National Attention Deficit Disorder Information and Support Service
Who is it for? Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder sufferers, their parents and professionals who work with them.
Highlight: The way the site connects up with ADHD support groups around the UK, listing contact details and giving them space to write about their activities. Another plus is the information section which provides answers to basic questions right through to expert articles. Visitors who want to know more can use the online bookstore or go the resource centre where a reference library is available.
The site could be improved by the inclusion of some case studies of children with ADHD as despite its warm tone a human element is lacking. Despite numerous case studies of family-friendly employers, there were no examples of how these affected families themselves, making the site a bit policy heavy in places.
