Workforce council sets out standards

Common standards for new practitioners working with children and young people were launched by the Children’s Workforce Development Council last week.

The draft Common Induction Standards for Children’s Services aims to help staff develop knowledge and skills within their first three months in work. They can be adapted to cover most areas of work with children, young people and families.

The General Social Care Council would like feedback on the draft standards from social care professionals via a questionnaire at www.gscc.org.uk
