Warning on overly co-operative parents

Professionals must ensure they do not take parents’ co-operation with services as meaning child protection concerns have lessened, an inspector told the conference.
 
Fiona Clark, a children’s services inspector in the Social Work Inspection Agency, also said that there was a danger that professionals tolerated more worrying behaviour when they were working with families with a history of neglect.

She said supervisors had a key role in challenging this.
