Naomi Eisenstadt has been appointed as the director of the newly created Social Exclusion Task Force, the government announced today.
Eisenstadt is currently the chief adviser on children’s services at the Department for Education and Skills and is set to take up her new post in December.
Her new role will involve coordinating social exclusion policy across government and overseeing delivery of the recently launched Social Exclusion Action Plan.
She will also be tasked with ensuring socially excluded people’s needs are addressed in the forthcoming comprehensive spending review.
The position is based in the Cabinet Office.
