The organisation that represents social care inspectors has merged with the Social Care Association, the professional body for the whole sector.
The Care Regulators Association, formerly the National Association of Inspection and Registration Officers (NAIRO), has made the move following a vote of members.
CRA chief executive Diana Gordon said the association had needed to change since the creation of national care regulators in England, Scotland and Wales in 2001 and 2002.
She said: “It has been a natural progression to join forces with the Social Care Association and together we will continue to champion good practice in social care settings.”
