Social worker warned over tax fraud

A social worker who committed tax fraud outside of work has had a two-year warning placed on her record by the General Social Care Council.

A conduct committee found Nourin Khan guilty of misconduct on Friday and gave her a two-year admonishment.

It said that the fact that she had been convicted of tax credit fraud breached requirements in the social care code of practice for practitioners to be honest, trustworthy and behave appropriately.
