Invitation to be included on a Standing List providing services to people with Learning Disabilities.

The Trust, which was formed on the 1st September 2007 is reviewing the way support is offered to people with Learning Disabilities. It is developing a standing list of Providers that will work with the Trust in delivering service and support to service users in the following areas: care and support at home, day opportunities (day care), residential and nursing care, respite and short breaks.

The Standing List will be an approved list of registered and inspected care providers from which the trust is able to procure services to meet service users’ individual care and support needs as required.

Applicants are required to complete a standing list application form, which enables the trust to evaluate the following:

  • Evidence of technical ability

  • Capacity to do the work

  • Financial standing

  • Insurances and references

  • Compliance with legislation e.g. health & safety

Applications are invited from suitably qualified organisations of all sizes within the private, public and third sectors including social enterprises, not for profit organisations as well as community and voluntary organisations. We encourage new Providers to the area.

Organisations should demonstrate the delivery of person centred, high quality, innovative and effective Learning Disability support and have a proven track record in providing similar services.

It is anticipated the standing list will be in operation from April 08, and run for a period of 5 years, reviewed throughout.

For further information or to request the application pack please contact Brett Brown, Contract Team & Commissioning on 01472 325029 or email brett.brown@nelctp.nhs.uk
