Rotherham’s Leaving Care Accommodation Service: 2009-2014

The Rotherham Leaving Care Accommodation Service is a joint tendering exercise between Children and Young People’s Services and Supporting People for the delivery of accommodation services for Rotherham’s care leavers for 2009-2014.

This provision is to establish, develop and maintain a range of accessible accommodation services for care leavers aged 16 to 25 years, if appropriate. This accommodation service provision will have three main elements:

    – floating support

    – supported lodgings

    – management of a semi-independent residential unit.

The award of contracts is to be determined by a restricted tendering process, with the Contract being awarded to the organisation which, following compliance with the requirements of the Invitation to Tender, offers the price, technical assistance and technical merit in accordance with the weightings specified within the Invitation to Tender.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified organisations who are experienced in working with children and young people.  Organisations wishing to express an interest should apply in writing for a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire from the Manager Supporting People, 36 Nelson Street, Clifton, Rotherham, S65 1EX.

The closing date for the expression of interest is the 1st April 2008.

Those organisations that successfully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be issued an Invitation to Tender the week commencing the 2nd June 2008. Those organisations that are unsuccessful will be informed in writing.
