Asset & Adult Social Care Development (CC0429)

Bedfordshire County Council wish to invite to Tender suitably skilled, experienced and qualified companies and/or consortiums for the re-organisation and development of care facilities and the provision of care therein, across the County. The Tender process will consist of a Competitive Dialogue.

Currently the Council has a contract with an agent to provide care to circa 450 residents who are accommodated with 13 Council owned establishments.  An additional 32 beds are privately funded. This contract expires on 12th July 2010 and this is the contract that the Council is inviting interested parties to tender for. Other elements may include property development.

The Council would like to invite interested parties to a briefing and discussion session where issues surrounding making the best use of Council’s property assets and provision of care for the Bedfordshire Community will be outlined.  The Briefing starts at 9.30 hours, on  20th May 2008,  at The Rufus Centre,   Steppingley Road, Flitwick, Bedfordshire MK45 1AH.  Places must be booked by E-mail (tessa.hendry@bedscc.gov.uk)

Indicative contract period is no less than 10 years no more than 25 years subject to confirmation during the dialogue.
