Social worker accused of child sex offences

A social worker accused of sexually abusing two children appeared before the General Social Care Council yesterday. The man has denied allegations that he abused two boys between 2001 and 2007.

A social worker accused of sexually abusing two children appeared before the General Social Care Council yesterday.

The man has denied allegations that he abused two boys between 2001 and 2007.

He is accused of sex offences with one child between 2001 and 2003 and a second boy between 2006 and 2007.

He has admitted a charge of giving money to the first child to settle a debt between the child and a drug dealer.

The conduct hearing continues today and is due to conclude on 13 September.
