Tender for Care Act Independent Advocacy in Hampshire

 

Hampshire County Council invite suitably experienced providers to tender for a Care Act Independent Advocacy Service.  The service will provide Independent Advocacy for people who have substantial difficulties in being involved in Hampshire County Council Adult Services (HCCAS) processes of accessing information and advice, assessment, care planning and review and safeguarding enquiry or review and who do not have anyone else suitable who could support them to be involved. This will apply to any adult service users, any carer of an adult and any young people in transition to adult services when a child’s needs assessment is carried out.  All potential bidders will need to determine whether it is suitable for them to bid, in light of the Care Act.  Please refer to the links below, before submitting a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire:

This service will provide a suitably experienced or qualified Independent Advocate to facilitate the involvement of an eligible person in accessing information and advice, participating in; their assessment, their care planning, in a review of their care plan and in a safeguarding enquiry or Safeguarding Adults Review.  The Independent Advocate will represent an eligible person and speak on their behalf if they are unable to be fully involved.

 

The contract will be for a period of one year.  The maximum budget available for the tendered services is £298,500 per annum.  Anticipated contract commencement will be 1st April 2015.  Hampshire County Council supports the development of Consortium bids and Sub-Contracting arrangements.
