Community Care is seeking feedback from social workers about support for people who need help accessing facilities in their local community and maintaining relationships.

The survey asks social workers questions about support for people whose needs mean they are unable to achieve outcomes (g) and (i) from the Care Act 2014 eligibility criteria:

(g) – developing and maintaining family and other personal relationships.

(i) – making use of necessary facilities or services in the local community including public transport, and recreational facilities or services.

Adults’ social workers: take our survey now

The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete and all responses will remain anonymous. You can take the survey here.

We are running the survey in response to findings from our previous research on care package cuts and the use of funding panels in adults’ services, which highlighted concerns around the loss of meaningful social support for service users, and restrictions being placed by some councils on how much of this type of support they are willing to fund.

Please only respond to this survey if you are an adults’ social worker, or other social care professional whose role includes assessment and support planning, working in England.

If you would prefer to speak directly to a Community Care journalist about your experiences instead, please contact Rachel Carter at rachel.carter@live.co.uk
