Executive Director of Children’s Services

£133,707 plus relocation

About us

Here at Lincolnshire County Council, we’ve got a lot to be proud of. From our historical cathedrals and breath-taking sandy beaches, to the world-leading food production, power engineering and tourism businesses helping our budding economy to flourish. Lincolnshire is a place where beauty and boldness combine; where we, as a council, are building on history and heritage to shape a brighter future for all.

Our children’s services

Our children’s services are officially rated one of the best children’s services in the country. This is just reward for the dedication and commitment of our staff, partners and the fact that everything we do puts children first.

We’re proud of our achievements but that doesn’t mean we’ll rest on our laurels. We believe there are always ways in which we can improve our services for children, young people and families across Lincolnshire, and that’s where you come in.

About the role

We need a visionary leader who’ll be accountable from day one. Inheriting an outstanding function means further driving innovation, actively improving and strengthening relationships with staff, politicians, stakeholders and schools to name a few and also other authorities as part of Partners in Practice. You will also inspire an excellent leadership team who have all played a part in delivering outstanding care across children’s services. This means providing concise management, advice and direction to a strong, established team.

About you

As an existing Director of Children’s Services, or an Assistant Director who is ready for the next step, you’ll hit the ground running. You’ll be passionate about integrating services across social care, education and health. You will bring with you a great track record of success, ideally a national presence, along with the kind of knowledge and expertise that inspires credibility with partners, teachers, staff and OFSTED.

For you it’s the chance to make your mark. We’ll support you all the way.. You’ll be the catalyst for further development that benefits all our children and young people.
