Duty Triage & Assessment Team Manager

We are looking for an effective team manager to lead our Duty, Triage and Assessment Team, the front door for Children’s Social Care at Wokingham. The team is made up of our MASH/duty service as well as the assessment team. This is a full time, permanent position and the right candidate needs to be flexible and able to respond to changing needs of children, their families, the team and the service, whilst ensuring the child remains the focus. The successful candidate will be passionate and energetic and showcase a wide array of sound social work skills, knowledge and experience.

When Children's Services get involved in the life of a child our priority is to make sure it’s the right time and our social workers have the support, time and resources they need to provide an excellent quality of service - the kind of service we ourselves would wish to receive.

We know that the success of ANY team will be dependent upon the people we employ and are keen to hear from those that are flexible, dynamic and willing to work with safe uncertainty, to achieve the best outcomes for our children.

This role if is for those qualified social work managers who want to develop their skills to work systemically, within a trauma informed and signs of safety framework. You will ensure the provision of quality supervision and support to Social Workers, ensuring plans progress and deliver improved outcomes for vulnerable children, within the scope of the team, legislative and regulatory frameworks and within agreed performance indicators.
