Approved Mental Health Professional - Spalding
Our AMHPs describe their job as “the ultimate role to make a direct impact on someone’s life”, It’s an exciting time in Lincolnshire for you to be able to make that impact too.
These roles will be mainly home based with travel (as required) across the county and to the Lincoln Office. We welcome applications from staff looking for Full Time & Part Time hours.
INTERNALLY - These roles could be on a secondment basis.
About You
You must be a qualified AMHP, so, you must be a registered social worker, mental health nurse, LD nurse, occupational therapist, or clinical psychologists who has successfully completed accredited post qualification training as an Approved Mental Health professional.
However, we will consider applications from those currently undertaking AMHP training (Please include details of where you are studying and your expected qualification date).
We're looking for AMHPs who are passionate about making a difference in people's lives. You must share our values: being respectful, professional resourceful and reflective. Having excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to robustly advocate for people's human rights are a must.

About the Role
We are developing a brand-new AMHP service, those joining us will have the opportunity to work as part of a newly created specialist team, working closely with partners to shape what this service will look like, now and into the future.

You will work in line with the MHA 1983, including carrying out mental health assessments for adults and children. Ensuring the best possible outcome for those using the service will be high on your agenda as will compliance with current legislation, policies and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside and share knowledge with colleagues from other areas of the service such, working closely with partners within the wider health and social care agenda to ensure the most effective outcomes for service users.
You will not be expected to carry a caseload but will be expected to support development of the service and the work of the wider service area and directorate.

We are currently offering 13.5 and 8.5 hour shift patterns, however we remain flexible to ensure we meet the needs of both our staff and service users.
Along with a competitive salary of £39,880 - £44,863 + 15% Market Rate Supplement (agreed for 2 years) we are offering an extensive benefits package, details of which can be found in the attached brochure.
