Want to know what it’s like to be a newly qualified social worker on your Assessed & Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) at Wokingham Borough Council?
You’re in luck!
Please come along and join us at our ASYE virtual recruitment event and find out more about our offer for newly qualified social workers.
This event is specifically targeted to students who will be completing their degree this year or who graduated in 2021 and is looking for a full-time permanent position as a newly qualified social worker in one of our Children’s Teams.
This will be an informal event facilitated by our Principal Social Worker and will run through an outline of the support through our dedicated, inhouse ASYE programme for newly qualified social workers. We look forward to introducing you to Jo and Emma, our ASYE Supervisors, as well as some of the members of our current ASYE cohort and one of our wonderful Team Managers.
Our event will be fully interactive and will include a Q+A session. This will cover our application process, any questions you may have in relation to working for Wokingham Children’s Services and our ASYE offer.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The event will be taking place on Microsoft Teams on Friday 18th February at 10:00am.
If you would like to sign up to attend the event, please email Ellie Angus (Recruitment & Retention Specialist) at ellie.angus@wokingham.gov.uk.

For Children’s Services this has resulted in appointing a dynamic new Director of Children’s Services who is committed to high quality services for all children and their families and to further develop a ‘learning organisation’ where our staff develop and achieve their future ambition.
