Patients who describe themselves as being in poor mental health have a much more negative experience of the NHS than those in good health, a survey out today finds.
A Healthcare Commission poll of 282,631 patients in a variety of health settings found black mental health patients were more negative than white patients about their involvement in care decisions.
And although Asian patients generally responded more negatively than white patients they were more positive about the treatment they received from their psychiatrist.
In general, older patients were more likely to report positive experiences of health services than younger ones.
