Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales (CSIW) chief executive Rob Pickford is to lead the country’s new social care regulator.
The Welsh assembly government said yesterday Pickford would head the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales, which will be set up in April.
It combines CSIW’s responsibilities for regulating providers with the Social Services Inspectorate for Wales’s duties to assess councils.
Pickford is a qualified social worker, who, before taking up the CSIW role in 2001, worked for local authorities and advised
