Thousands of social care workers joined in a nationwide protest against cuts to public services Saturday, 26 March. Up to half a million people from all over the United Kingdom thronged the streets of central London for several hours as the March for the Alternative wound its way from London's Victoria Embankment to a rally in Hyde Park. Labour's leader Ed Miliband spoke alongside union leaders who all called on the government to protect local services.
Community Care reporters were there throughout the day, tweeting, reporting, taking photos and filming.
You can post your thoughts on the rally and join in a debate on CareSpace afterwards. It would also be great to see your photos from the day; you can upload them to this special 26 March photo gallery.
