Scotland cuts homeless cash

More than £3 million has been cut from projects for
homeless people in Scotland, the Scottish Council for Single
Homeless has claimed. The cash was promised by the Resettlement
Agency, part of the Department of Social Security, for services to
replace Scotland’s only resettlement unit at Bishopbriggs.

The agency, which will be wound up in March, says the funding
has been delayed until 1998 at the earliest.
