No charge

A major protest against charges for social services was due to
be held ealier this week at the Palace of Westminster.

The protest, organised by the Coalition on Charging, an umbrella
of a number of national organisations representing social services
users and carers, was backed by the NHS Support Federation.

The coalition says some clients are funding their own community
care services by up to £60 a week.
