Do the striking Liverpool Unison residential workers, who are
angry at assistant director Graham Burgess, know he was once a
stalwart of the public service union? In fact, he used to be a
member of the union’s national executive committee. Now he is
embroiled in a bitter battle in what the unions claim is an
unacceptable increase in the use of agency and casual staff.
