Most readers think Brown’s Budget failed the unemployed

Opinions are almost equally divided among visitors to Community
Care’s website about whether Chancellor Gordon Brown did enough in
his Budget last week to help people who are not working.

Much of the expert reaction to Brown’s announcements focused on
the help he provided for people on low incomes.

The results of the online poll also show that 46 per cent of
people believe he did enough to help unemployed people while most
thought he did not.

This week’s question asks: “In the light of the Local Government
Association’s survey, do you think your employing organisation is
institutionally racist?”
