New training initiative for regulation of care

Stirling University has been awarded £463,000 to provide
and evaluate a training programme for Scotland’s 4000
registration and inspection staff as they move from local
authorities and health boards to work in the new Scottish
Commission for the Regulation of Care.

The grant will cover a 10-month period up to April 2002 when the
commission comes into being.
