Asylum dispersal increases racial tension

Asylum seeker dispersal policies in the UK and Germany increase
racial tension, and has had a significant negative impact on the
welfare of asylum seekers, according to a new report.

Spreading the cost of asylum seekers concluded that in
the UK the effectiveness of the dispersal system is limited by
administrative inefficiency. In Germany, dispersal failed to take
into consideration the economic and social pressures in reception
areas.

The report is published by the Royal Institute of International
Affairs and the Anglo-German Foundation.
