Reporters to the children’s panel and support workers have
voted by an overwhelming 95 per cent in favour of rejecting a 2.5
per cent pay increase, and will now consider strike action.
On their behalf, Unison is seeking an 8 per cent increase.
Employers, the Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration,
claim that the 2.5 per cent is in addition to a 2 per cent increase
paid in April. Unison describes members as “frustrated and fed up”,
and has threatened strike action if the offer is not improved.
