Sixty per cent of the public would be willing to pay more tax to
finance community care services for older people, according to a
poll commissioned by Community Care.
Thirty per cent said they would not be willing to pay more and
just 2 per cent said they did not know.
Just over half (51 per cent) of 25-34 year-olds, compared with
73 per cent of 45-54 year-olds, said ‘yes’ to contributing more tax
in the NOP survey.
