Too much funding is ring-fenced

Too much of social services’ central funding
is ring-fenced according visitors to Community Care‘s
website.

The Local Government Association complained
that 17 per cent of social services cash is currently ring-fenced
by the government, which is more than any other service. Seventy
eight per cent of people who responded to the online survey backed
the recent complaint with only 22 per cent disagreeing.

This week’s question asks: Do you
think the draft statements in the GSCC codes of conduct will help
you to improve your practice?

This week the first draft codes of conduct for
both social care employers and workers were published.
