Conservative homes proposal rejected

Two-thirds of respondents to an online poll
rejected the proposal from Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith
calling for a relaxation of the planned national standards for care
homes.

This week’s question asks: Has the
Children Act 1989 gone too far in promoting the interests of
parents over the interests of children?

Charities have called for changes to the act
