Few have faith in recruitment drive

More than three-quarters of visitors to Community Care‘s
website believe the government’s recruitment drive for social
workers will not be effective.

Seventy-seven per cent cast doubt on the campaign with only 23 per
cent offering it support.

Chief inspector of social services Denise Platt said in her annual
report that recruitment and retention of staff was still a serious
problem.

This week’s question asks: Do you think there should be a
single body covering all equality issues replacing the Commission
for Racial Equality, the Disability Rights Commission and the Equal
Opportunities Commission?
