Voluntary organisations in Scotland are to receive £360m this
year – £17m more than 2001.
Some £228m will be allocated to about 700 voluntary groups,
while an additional 700 organisations will receive a further
£131m through agencies including Scottish Natural Heritage,
Scottish Enterprise and NHS boards.
Beneficiaries will include Scottish councils of voluntary service,
anti-poverty initiatives, services to provide transport for
disabled people, and community regeneration and child care
initiatives.
