Police in Hull are investigating allegations made against
current and former staff at a privately-run care home in the
city.
The investigation has centred on 15 staff and ex-staff at Bede’s
View, a home that caters for adults with learning difficulties run
by East Riding Care.
Detectives involved in the investigations are preparing to pass
files to the Crown Prosecution Service. The exact nature of the
allegations made against past and present staff is not being
revealed at this stage.
The National Care Standards Commission has been monitoring the
situation. A spokesperson said the NCSC was working with the
service provider, social services and police to ensure the
continued welfare of the residents.
A spokesperson for Kingston-upon-Hull’s social services said the
department had worked closely with the police and would continue to
co-operate fully.
East Riding Care declined to comment.
