Organisations are too secretive

Two-thirds of visitors to Community Care’s
website say their organisations do not communicate openly with the
public and media.

Earlier this month an employment tribunal ruled in favour of
John Power who was sacked by the NSPCC after informing
Community Care about staff reactions to the
charity’s plans to close 18 projects.

This week’s question asks: “Has Valuing People had
an impact on people with learning difficulties in your area since
it was launched in March 2001?”

The Learning Disability Task Force published its first annual
report this week.
