The Learning and Skills Council Tyne and Wear are the national
lead on a new pilot system which is looking to deliver ‘paper
free ‘ NVQ’s in the Care Sector. The ‘paper
free’ product will be provided nationally and licensed to
suppliers for the duration of the pilot.
The aim of the pilot is to trial the effectiveness of this new
method of delivering NVQ ‘s. The engagement of older learners
in the project would also be a key theme.
The LSC is also keen to support innovative partnerships between
employers and suppliers as part of the pilot. Overall, as a result
of the pilot we are seeking to achieve 200 NVQs incorporating basic
skills. The pilot will commence in April 2003 and run for one
year.
The Learning and Skills Council Tyne and Wear are looking for
tenders from quality training providers who are able to deliver
approximately 100 NVQ’s at level 2 using this innovative
approach. It should be noted that assessors will be trained in the
use of the new system prior to the commencement of the pilot.
For further information and a Tender information pack please
