Shepperd is new Walsall chief

Liverpool Council’s executive director of housing, social services
and community safety Annie Shepperd has been appointed as chief
executive of Walsall Council.

Walsall social services department received a damning joint review
report in May last year and, a month later, the whole council was
referred for government intervention. Shepperd will take up her new
post in the spring.
