Majority want all chatrooms closed

All internet service providers should close chatrooms down
according to more than six out of 10 visitors to Community
Care
‘s website.

Sixty-two per cent said ISPs should follow MSN’s example and shut
down chatrooms that can be used by paedophiles to befriend
children.

This week’s question asks: Are the accountability
arrangements put forward in the green paper enough to address the
concerns raised during the Victoria Climbie Inquiry?

Senior managers from the agencies involved in Victoria’s case were
criticised for failing to take responsibility for service
failures.

The result of this poll will form part of a debate on the green
paper at next week’s National Social Services Conference.
