Social care staff in the voluntary sector are an honest bunch, with
just 6 per cent admitting that they have ever lied on their CV when
applying for a job, research by Community Care‘s
publisher, Reed Business Information, reveals.
Regional managers and department heads are the most likely to have
told untruths on their CV, with social workers and senior social
workers more honest, it finds.
The survey of RBI’s markets reveals that voluntary sector social
care staff are more honest than those working in construction,
human resources, hospitality, the travel industry and IT.
Of those in social care who did lie, more than half did so about
their hobbies.
