Welsh children’s commissioner’s concerned about English commissioner’s powers

Welsh children’s commissioner Peter Clarke has told MPs he
is worried that his English counterpart could complicate his work,
according to the BBC.

He is reported to have warned parliament’s Welsh Affairs
Committee that the English children’s commissioner will not
be as independent of government ministers as the Welsh
commissioner, yet will have authority in Wales over matters such as
criminal justice which have not been devolved to the Welsh
Assembly.
