Coronation Street, ITV

Brendan McGrath, a private fostering co-ordinator, confesses to sometimes being coerced into watching Coronation Street. He writes: “The recent scenario where Cilla Brown (Wendi Peters), the partner of Les Battersby (Bruce Jones) leaves the household, leaving her son Chesney (Sam Aston) behind with Les, seems to me to be a private fostering arrangement. A social worker called to check up on Chesney’s care but made no mention of the arrangement being a private fostering, or the department’s responsibilities to undertake an assessment of the arrangement. I wonder if Weatherfield social services are up to speed on private fostering?” Similar contributions please!
