Young care leavers should be made a housing priority after a survey
revealed that one in 10 live in temporary accommodation, say
campaigners.
The call, from care leavers organisation A National Voice, came as
the study also found that one in 10 young care leavers had been
left “sofa surfing”, and one-third felt unsafe where they
lived.
Launching the organisation’s No Place Like Home Campaign, national
co-ordinator Maxine Wrigley said Supporting People funding could be
ring-fenced to help this group.
