If you ask me…

Which health or social care professional has been most
use to you?

Maureen West, my keyworker. I’m mixed race and she helped me
cope with moving from a very white area to a very multicultural
one.

If you ran care services in your area what would you do
differently?

Tailor services to different children rather than making them
fit in.

What three words best describe you?

Funny, open-minded, loving.

What event most changed your life?

Going into care. I lost the fear that I grew up with, and went
off the rails a bit. But looking back it was a good thing.

Has any government policy ever benefited you
personally?

Not that I know of. The Prince’s Trust has helped me a lot,
though.

What one thing would you ban?

Weapons.

If you won the lottery how would you spend it?

I’d buy a house with stairs, lots of windows, a big front door
and a garden.

What is your greatest achievement?

Finding out that I could write.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Falling down two flights of stairs at a nightclub recently,
wearing huge platform boots.

Who would you like to swap places with?

Mariah Carey. I love her voice.

What is the most important lesson you have
learned?

Just to keep on trying and not give up.
