My mother and the Lord.

Professor Sheila Hollins at St George’s Hospital in Tooting,

If you ran care services in your area what would you do
differently?
I would involve people with learning difficulties, their
carers and their support staff in the beginning of the planning of
services.

Name one thing that would make your life better?
For people not to discriminate against me.

What three words best describe you?
Punctual, loyal, calm.

What makes you happy?
When I see people treating other people good.

What event most changed your life?
When I got my first job at Lambeth Accord, a local group for people
with learning difficulties. I didn’t know I could get a job.

Has any government policy ever benefited you
personally?


Yes, the disabled person’s tax credit.

When were you last angry?
At church when a woman was rude to me.

When did you last cry?
In January when my mother had stuff stolen from her.

Who do you most admire?
My support worker, Linetta Farquarson, Sheila Hollins and Peter
Ferns.

How would you like to be remembered?
As normal Jackie.
