Autistic society launches online service

The National Autistic Society has launched an online autism
information service, writes Haroon
Ashraf.

The Public Autism Resource and Information Service
(Paris) is a free, searchable database containing details of autism
services available across the UK, said NAS.

“Getting the support, services, and education that our
children need can often be very difficult,” said Sheila
Moorcroft, a parent of a child with autism. “Paris will be
brilliant for helping parents to find the services available to
them at every stage of their child’s development.”

Paris will also be useful for health professionals, giving them
quick access to resources including training courses and relevant
statutory organisations.

The society hopes to further expand the service later this year
by offering information tailored to individuals’ needs.
