‘Employers fail to support staff’

A lack of support from employers is hindering candidates in
social work education and training.

Work pressures are also having a negative impact on candidates’
success rates, according to the General Social Care Council
study.

The report’s findings will be used by the GSCC to inform the new
framework for post-qualifying training for social workers.
