Children who have been privately fostered want regular contact
with social workers to make sure they are safe and the chance to
talk to them in private, a report reveals.
The Commission for Social Care Inspection found that many privately
fostered children feel that social workers should always meet them
away from the carer’s house so they can speak freely.
Many suggested that they should be given a social worker’s
telephone number in case they had problems.
